CinéShow 2020 has been cancelled
After much discussion and careful deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to cancel CinéShow 2020, previously scheduled Aug. 24-26. Our top priority has always been the well-being of our industry, and it has become clear that cinema owners and operators will be focused on safely and strategically reopening their facilities in the coming weeks and months.
We know you have questions surrounding this news. Read the FAQ to learn what you can expect going forward.
WILL I RECEIVE A REFUND FOR MY REGISTRATION?
All CinéShow registrations will be cancelled on your behalf. All registration fees will be fully refunded within 30 days. There is no action needed on your part. We will be processing individual refunds as quickly as possible and we kindly ask for your patience during this time.
WILL I RECEIVE A REFUND FOR MY HOTEL DEPOSIT?
If your hotel reservation was made in the official CinéShow block, we will cancel it automatically. There is no action needed on your part. If you booked your hotel outside the official CinéShow block you will need to follow up with the hotel directly.
WILL THERE BE A VIRTUAL MEETING?
Today, as always, CinéShow in partnership with the Independent Cinema Alliance is committed to providing high-quality education and professional development to the movie theater community. While we are very disappointed to have to cancel our in-person conference, we are exploring a virtual conference—with practical content and networking opportunities—as an alternative meeting option.
WHAT ARE THE DATES AND LOCATION FOR CINÉSHOW 2021?
CinéShow is currently scheduled for Aug. 23-25, 2021, in Dallas. We, however, are reviewing all options to come back stronger and bigger than ever. As such, the date and location are subject to change.
